Premiere: Conversations in the Epicenter of the EU

Regulatory simplification for European companies is a key aspect of maintaining our economic competitiveness. In this conversation with MEP Morten Løkkegaard (Vice President of Renew Europe) and Adrian Nikolov (Senior Economist at the Institute for Market Economics (IME), Adam Bartha explores the recent efforts to streamline and simplify Europe's rulebook.

What is the 28th regime and how can it help to bypass Europe’s complicated regulatory path dependency? Is regulatory simplification only needed for SMEs, or should the EU be more ambitious? What is the role of member states in this simplification process? Is state aid and a light-touch industrial policy part of the answer?

Join this Conversation in the EPICENTER of the EU and let us know your thoughts on these challenges on Friday, 14th November at 12:00 CET.

Often, coming to Brussels to work for an MEP becomes an administrative dream crusher. Most policy discussions happen at the MEP levels and often APAs, full of ideas, have no space to brainstorm, collaborate and create.

To create a space for discussion, EPICENTER brings you the APA BrainLab, a new initiative designed exclusively for the Assistants of Members of the European Parliament. We will organise bespoke programmes for all political families in the European Parliament who are open to free-market ideas.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at the European Parliament from 9:00 to 12:30.

We are organising the BrainLab in collaboration with New Direction.
