In Dnevnik, IME’s chief economist Lachezar Bogdanov argued that the European Parliament missed yet another chance for more free trade and growth by blocking the EU-Mercosur agreement. He emphasized that Europe must abandon the pursuit of regulation and embrace economic freedom to unlock prosperity, especially at a time when eurozone growth is nearing zero and global competition intensifies.
